Red Dirt Boxer Rescue is a group of dedicated individuals who have made it their mission to find safe, loving homes for homeless or displaced boxers located throughout the State of Oklahoma
RDBR is in the process of gaining our non profit, 501(C)3 status. RDBR provides adoption services as well as helping current boxer owners find their dogs a loving new forever home. RDBR strives to promote responsible pet ownership.
We provide several rescue services from taking in abandoned and abused boxers to rescuing them from shelter's. RDBR conducts a thorough adoption process and that continues long after a boxer has found it's new forever home. We also offer assistance to any other boxer rescue that reaches out to us. RDBR also helps current boxer owners with behavioral problems in order to help that family keep their beloved companion.
RDBR is made up of a dedicated group of volunteers with many years of experience in performing rescue work with other established groups. After careful consideration, we have made the big decision to become an independent rescue group. We believe the establishment of Red Dirt Boxer Rescue will enable us to concentrate our efforts within the state, and to better serve both boxers and owners in Oklahoma and neighboring communities.
Our volunteers include individuals who have rescue, dog training and behavior experience. Most importantly we are boxer owners who are dedicated to saving the breed that we all love unconditionally.

Towels, Sheets & Blankets |
Have you recently cleaned out your closets? Had a garage sale? Unsure of what to do with all those old towels, sheets, and blankets, that no one bought and you can't seem to give away? We are desperate for them. Most of the dogs we have, come from the shelters and the street. They are dirty. They smell horribly. It takes several baths to get the stench off of them. Once they are clean, they need a soft place to lay down. Some are so skinny, you can count every bone they have. You can trace the outline of their hips. The pad of blankets needs to be thick to make their beds comfortable. For the first time in a long time, if ever, they have something soft to lay on when they come to us. Some are potty trained, others are not. Those who aren't go through even more bedding. Our foster homes, provide all the blankets and towels for these babies. We do dog laundry daily. Sometimes, that is still not enough. These guys generate a lot of laundry. Those old towels, sheets, and blankets make our lives easier, and theirs so much happier. Please if you have some old towels, sheets or blankets, donate them. Give us a call and we can let you know where to drop your donation off at, or we can pick them up. Please help us help them |

Make sure you have exercised all options, health, behaviors, etc. If you would like to discuss this decision with a volunteer please email Surrender@RedDirtBoxerRescue.com. We may be able to assist you with dealing with the problem at hand as opposed to giving up your boxer.
"The character of the Boxer is of the greatest importance and demands the most solicitous attention. He is renowned from olden times for his great love and faithfulness to his master and household. He is harmless in the family, but distrustful of strangers, bright and friendly of temperament at play, but brave and determined when aroused. His intelligence and willing tractability, his modesty and cleanliness make him a highly desirable family dog and cheerful companion. He is the soul of honesty and loyalty, and is never false or treacherous even in his old age."
