Vet Heroes

Red Dirt Boxer Rescue would like to thank our local Vet Heroes for there support and care for our rescued boxers.

When Boxers come into our program they do so without a  health screening. We get a call from a shelter saying,

"We have a boxer, come get it."

We go get it.

Sometimes you can see the injuries or illnesses when you get there. Most times, we don't know what is lurking under the skin. So many come in with heartworms, Colitus, intestinal worms and other parasites. Even  healthy dogs eat into rescue's meager finances with needed, vaccinations, heartworm preventative, and spays or neuters.

Without the vets who offer discounts for rescues, we couldn't help half the dogs we do. We would have to make horrible decisions on what is the limit to spend on a dog.

As they say "nothing in life is free" but the discounts they offer, is the next best thing. This allows us to use your donations to continue helping the lives of so many.

 "Thank You, we can't do this with out you!"

If you do not have a vet, consider using a rescue friendly vet. One who gives back to your community, helping local rescues.
